Sarah Baker Andrus
Delaware, USA
After years of therapy and medication, I initially came to meditation to address intransigent issues with PTSD, childhood trauma, anxiety and depression that prevented me from living life to its fullest. I began my practice with Vipassana/Insight work, eventually finding Unified Mindfulness (UM) and studying with Julianna Raye for more than 8 years. I have completed UM’s teacher training program, and regularly teach mindfulness for the Women’s Leadership Initiative at the University of Delaware, where I also serve as an adjunct professor and assistant director of career services for graduate students and alumni in the business school. Mindfulness informs all of these activities and has dramatically shifted my relationships at work and at home.
I get so much joy out of sharing practices that can help reduce suffering and enrich our awareness of our shared humanity.
Free Drop-ins
Sarah offers free drop-in sessions:
All the Feels - Paused Sept/24
Thursdays 11:30am ET / 5:30pm CET
In these lightly guided sessions, we will explore how to use meditation techniques to work with emotions. Through practice, we can discern the nature of our feelings and begin to separate from the grip of the stories we tell ourselves. We can also tap into positive emotions and savor them more consistently. The approach we take will vary, offering options that give us a variety of "tools in our toolbelt" so that we can meet life's challenges less reactively and more mindfully.
